I was so surprised when I walked into
Kohls yesterday and saw that
Bliss now has makeup...and it's not just a couple of things, it's an
entire line with everything you could ever want when you're looking for makeup. The price points are kind of on the higher side...everything is between $20 and $36...but you can use Kohls cash and Yes2You Rewards on these, so that definitely helps! I have a ton of pictures to share with you so let's get started!
The Bliss makeup line has a lot of complexion products, starting with their
Mad About Smooth Mineral Primer ($32) and
'Tint'stant Tinted Skin Perfector($36). The primer reminded me a little of the Hourglass mineral primer at first swatch...it's white with a little bit of a glow in it and feels really lightweight. The Tintstant skin perfector reminds me a lot of the Perfekt Skin Perfection Gel- it's like a tinted primer. I'm hoping that this one has more coverage, like Tarte's BB Primer. It was hard to tell just by swatching it on my hand.
Next is their
Under Cover Secret Full Coverage Concealer ($25) which comes in 6 shades. It's in a tube and has a sponge-tipped applicator.
I had to laugh at the display here where it says, "we love you long time" for their
Stay'cation Long Wear Liquid Foundation ($36). It claims to be a lightweight formula that goes on like a second skin. It comes in 12 shades.
There's also a powder foundation called
em'powder'me($34) which also claims to go on like a second skin with buildable coverage.
Just a Little Tint ($34) is a tinted moisturizer that claims to be the "ultimate fusion of skincare and makeup" to enhance the complexion with buildable coverage. It comes in 8 shades.
There are three different concealers in the line...first was the full coverage one mentioned above. Second, the
Mend It, Blend It anti-blemish concealer ($22) is supposed to conceal redness, visibly reduce pore size and oil without looking cakey.
One of the products that really jumped out at me is the
Un-buffing Believable Smoothing Finishing Balm ($35). It reminds me a lot of Mally's Poreless Perfection Face Defender, but the packaging on this is too cute. It looks like a silver inkwell and the top contains a little kabuki brush for applying the balm. I'm not sure how well that works over makeup, but I really want to try it! I swatched a little balm on my hand and it made my skin look so smooth...pores and wrinkles seemed to vanish.
The
Accent Lighting Highlighting Sticks ($20) come in three shades and make it easy to highlight any part of your face, whether it's under your brows, cupids bow, or the tops of your cheekbones.
Go For The Bronze Powder Bronzer ($28) comes in two shades and does contain some shimmer.
Miss Sculpt-a-Lot Contour Palette ($32) claims to be universally flattering on everyone. As someone with fair skin that has a hard time finding a contour palette that isn't too warm or too dark, I can agree that this one would probably work for me...at least the first two shades, and possibly even the darker one if used sparingly.
Light The Glow Illuminating Gradient Powder Blush($26) comes in three shades and they're so pretty!
I actually had to swatch these and show you the shades. They're super pigmented and soft and I really want one!
Also for cheeks, there's a cream option called
Got a Blush On You ($24). These are in stick form and come in three shades. I swatched one of them on my arm and it was really, really pigmented.
The
Well Lit and
In a Blush serum fluids ($28) are liquid illuminators and blushes that are supposed to give a lit from within glow. I squeezed one of the illuminators onto my hand and it was a bit separated...I'm not sure if it was due to sitting there under hot lights all day or the tube standing strsight up, but a little bit of serum came out first, followed by some pigment. When I mixed them together though...oh man it left the most beautiful highlight!
For eyes, there are a couple of palette options but no single shadows. The
Hey Four Eyes Palettes($24) come in four shade combos and felt really soft and velvety.
The
Sweet In'ten'tions Palettes($36) feature 10 shades in both mattes and pearls...don't these kind of remind you of Tarte's shadows with the logo imprinted on them?
The
Where There's Smoke Long Wear Eye Liners ($22) come in 8 shades and are silky smooth and easy to blend.
Also for eyes, there's the
Holy Brow Tinted Brow Gel ($24) featuring a mousse-like formula that mimics the look of real brow hair without drying out. It also appears to have a brow brush inside the cap. There are also three mascaras in the collection...one
defining, one
thickening and one
waterproof ($22 each).
The
Bang! Pow! Balm! tinted lip balms ($20) give a sheer pop of color and come in cute little chubby tubes. They're actually really wide so it seems like they might be difficult to apply to your lips without getting it outside the lines.
The
Long Glossed Love Serum Infused Stain ($24) comes in five shades and claims to be a "genius all-in-one formula" that fuses a gloss and a stain together.
The
Lock & Key Long Wear Lipstick ($22) comes in 12 shades and claims to saturate lips with pure color that lasts all day while nourishing and softening your lips.
The
Bold Over Liquified Lipstick ($21) gives intensely saturated color with a lightweight feel.
Whew! I may have missed some products in the line but there were so many to take photos of...I didn't want to look like a total weirdo to the Kohls employees so I was trying to hurry. That's why some of these photos aren't the best quality and I'm sorry for that! I know I missed some brushes and a setting spray, at least.
