Hard Candy Brows Now Fiberized Brow Gel Review

The minute I saw Hard Candy's new Brows Now! Fiberized Brow Gel I thought it could be a dupe for Benefit's Gimme Brow, which is the only other brow gel I know that contains fibers. Let's take a look...

What it Is: A Fiber Brow Gel and Highlighter combination.
What it Does: Scultps brows and adds coverage, while also highlighting the brow bone.
What it Costs: $8
Where to Get It: Walmart Stores
Similar To: Benefit Gimme Brow ($22)
Quick Rating: Love the product, but wish the colors were different.

Brows Now! has a fiber brow gel on one side, with a highlighting stick on the other for adding brightness to the brow bone (Benefit Gimme Brow and Maybelline Brow Drama don't have a highlighter, so this is a bonus!).

I bought the shade Light/Medium and there is also a Medium/Dark shade.

The highlighter is a pretty champagne shade and is easy to swipe on and blend.

The brush for the gel reminds me a lot of Benefit's Gimme Brow, it's just a tiny bit wider.  You can see the fibers in the formula which are what makes this product better than your average everyday brow gels.  The fibers look like hair so you're not just darkening the skin underneath the sparse areas, you're actually filling them in!  The result is more natural than waxes, pencils or brow mascaras. I found this really easy to use- the formula is a little thinner than Gimme Brow and the extra fibers helped to add bulk to thinner areas.

Benefit Gimme Brow is on the left, Hard Candy Brows Now! is on the right.  The Hard Candy version visibly has more fibers.

Before and After:
The one thing I don't like about this gel is that it's too dark! My brows are naturally light brown, but this gel is more of a medium brown.  Benefit's Gimme Brow gives a softer, more natural look in the Light/Medium shade, while this one made my brows quite a bit darker...not what I'm going for since I have blonde hair.
Before

After

Here are swatches of the two so you can see the difference: Hard Candy Light/Medium is on the left, and Benefit Gimme Brow is on the right.  See how much lighter Gimme Brow is? (Also you can really see the fibers in these swatches, especially the Hard Candy one).

Overall, I felt that Hard Candy Brows Now! was easier to use than Benefit's Gimme Brow- the extra fibers and wetter formula made it easier to comb through.  But I'm not sure I can use this because the color looks so severe on me.  I wonder what the Medium/Dark looks like!  If you have brown or dark brown hair, you'll love this and it makes a great dupe for Gimme Brow since it's only $8 vs. $22.
I'll add this to my dupes board on Pinterest!

So what do you think?  Are you going to try Brows Now?
