Colourpop Super Shock Cheeks Highlighters ($8 at Colourpop) are new for Spring 2015, and like everything Colourpop creates, they're gorgeous, affordable, and come in a wide range of shades.  I purchased two shades to review and swatch for you guys, Wisp and Teasecake.  Let's take a look, shall we?

The highlighters are in the exact same packaging as the Super Shock Cheeks and even the label says Super Shock Cheek (a little confusing when I'm reaching into my makeup drawer, looking for shades). All of the highlighters have a pearlized finish and they come in 15 shades, some of which look like actual blushes with more color than you'd normally see in a highlighter. But the majority of them are very light in color like traditional highlighters and they offer whites, golds, pinks and bronzes for all skin tones. I chose two lighter shades since I'm fair skinned...one that's pink toned and one that's more of a gold-champagne.

Here they are side-by-side so you can see the comparison between them. I took these next few photos outside in natural light (not direct sunlight) so you can see the colors as accurately as possible.

Wisp is a golden-champagne with highly reflective hues of gold duo-chrome finishes.

The texture of these is even softer and squishier than the blushes (I'm not sure how that's even possible!) and they pick up and blend so easily.  But due to the softer formula, I didn't find these to be quite as long lasting as the Super Shock Cheek blushes. They faded after several hours, while the blushes lasted all day on me. Although I would say they still lasted longer than a powder would on my dry skin, but if you have oily skin, you may have to worry about these sliding off.

Still, despite the shorter wear time, I'm in love with the new Colourpop highlighters.  They're so beautiful and affordable, I plan to pick up more shades. I had such a hard time choosing the first time but now I'm thinking I want to get some of the deeper, more blush-like shades (I have quite enough regular highlighters...I think). I love my Colourpop matte blushes but I think some of the darker highlighters would be a pretty option for summer. What about you? Have you tried the new Colourpop Highlighters? Or are you planning on picking some up?
They're available for $8 each at Colourpop.com.
